Staedtler Triplus Fineliners
If you want to add color to your pages, I highly recommend those pens. Staedtler Triplus Fineliners are good-quality products. The ink dries quickly and doesn’t bleed through paper. The 0.8 tip gives a line width of 0.3mm which is perfect to write and draw in a bullet journal.

Pilot FriXion Highlighters
Another way to add colors in your bullet journal is to use highlighters. Frixion highlighters are erasable! Isn’t this great? Simply use the rubber eraser tip at the top of the highlighter to make the ink disappear! This set features nice and soft colors.
Tombow Fudenosuke
The Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen is perfect for calligraphy. Its flexible brush tip can create extra-fine medium strokes. The water-based ink doesn’t bleed through paper. It takes a little bit of training to master calligraphy with this pen, but the tip and the ink are great!
Self-adhesive pen loop
Carry your favorite pen with your notebook thanks to this pen holder. Simply stick it to the notebook’s cover. The elastic ring stretches to accommodate most pens. The set includes 5 pieces in different colors.

Hi, Thanks for the tips.
I have a Stabilo Boss highlighter, and when I finish a stroke, it leaves extra ink (just when I lift it from the paper). It gives both a darker spot and some bleed through. How are the Pilot FriXion highlighters on this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Maja,
FriXion highlighters don’t do that (or just a little bit, nothing compared to Stabilo Boss). They don’t bleed through either.
Just a little tip : when you use your Stabilo Boss highlighters, put a little piece of paper on your page. Finish your highlighter line on the piece of paper. This way, when you lift the highlighter, the extra ink will be on the piece of paper and not on your page 😉
